SS Detail
A mobile detailing crew with a strong look sitting on a site that could not carry it. We kept the design, rebuilt everything under it, added what was missing, and launched it on their own domain.
- Broken
- One page pretending to be four, 5 MB of photos loading before anything else, a quote form that only opened an email draft, and the host's badge sitting on top of the quote button.
- Built
- The same look on a new foundation: four real pages, a quote form that sends, a way to call or text on every phone screen, and features the old site never had.
- Now
- Live on ssdetail.com, their own domain. The homepage loads about 600 KB on a laptop and 420 KB on a phone, and a quote button stays in view on every page.

The Business
SS Detail is a mobile car detailing business run by Samuel Pacich and Shane Hughes. They come to the customer, working in driveways across Ventura County and LA County, from a monthly maintenance detail to full paint decontamination and sealing, on everything from a family SUV to a Porsche 911.
The Problem
Another developer had already given them a strong look: near-black surfaces, brushed chrome, and pricing laid out like work-order tickets. What sat underneath did not hold up. The whole site was one HTML file with four pages switched by script, so search engines saw a single page. Ten phone photos, 5.1 MB of them, loaded before anything else, including the ones on pages nobody had opened. The quote form built an email draft instead of sending anything, and the host's badge covered the floating quote button on every screen size. There was no page description, no structured data, no sitemap, and the redesign had never made it onto their own domain.

What We Built
Their look, kept.
The brief was an improvement, not a rebrand. The palette, the chrome gradient on buttons and prices, the type, the work-order card and the ticket-style pricing all carried over, and so did their copy, except where it promised too much: "Extraction will remove all stains" now says it lifts most of them.
Four real pages instead of one.
Home, Services & Pricing, About and Quote each have their own address, title and description, so the back button works, a link to a package lands on that package, and search engines can see every page. The business is marked up as a detailing service with its phone number, service area and packages.
Built for a phone in a driveway.
The layout was rebuilt phone-first. On a phone, a bar along the bottom keeps Text Us and Get a Quote under the thumb, every tap target is at least 44 pixels, and the menu matches the rest of the site instead of four white boxes.
A quote form that sends.
The form asks for a name, a phone number, an optional email, the vehicle and the package, then sends it straight to the owners' inbox with the customer's email as the reply address. It works with JavaScript turned off, and a hidden field turns away most spam bots.
Photos that wait their turn.
Every image is resized for the space it fills and served as WebP, and anything below the first screen waits until you scroll to it. The old homepage loaded 5.1 MB of photos up front; the new one loads about 600 KB in total on a laptop.
What the old site did not have.
A gallery of fifteen of their own jobs, each captioned with the car and the package. All four packages on the homepage, where the old one showed three under a heading that said four. And a short FAQ on the quote page that answers the questions people ask before they book.
Inside the Site

In the Client's Words
“Henry and Gabe were insanely impressive in how professionally they presented their work, answered my questions, and especially in how they presented themselves. I came to them with a closed mind but they convinced me to sign with just one look at their work and since then, the response times have not slowed down and I couldn’t feel like a more important client.”
